Important Notice for Detroit Midtown Office Account Holders

Since our inception in 2010, Urban Partnership Bank’s core mission has been that of transforming urban neighborhoods into stable and sustainable communities by providing financial products and services that are often unavailable for traditionally under-served communities. Over the past eight years, Urban Partnership Bank has bolstered economic sustainability in the communities it serves by completing approximately $500 million in loans resulting in more than 6,300 jobs and 6,500 units of housing created/retained of which 70% are affordable.

As you are aware, Urban Partnership Bank announced that an agreement was reached with Providence Bank & Trust to acquire Urban Partnership Bank and plan to combine operations under the name Providence Bank & Trust, a stewardship-based bank with 12 locations throughout the Chicagoland area and Northwest Indiana.

After careful consideration and as part of the consolidation of operations, we’re writing to let you know that we have decided to exit the Detroit market and close our Midtown Financial Center at 4830 Cass Avenue, Detroit, MI at the close of business (5pm EST) on April 15th, 2019.

All services offered at our Midtown office will be transferred to our Greater Grand Crossing branch in Chicago, Illinois, with no change in your ability to access and use accounts via online banking, ATMs or debit cards. We will make every effort to service your relationship and meet your financial needs and encourage you to continue to use the deposit and loan services of Urban Partnership Bank that make banking with us easier and more convenient:

  • Online/Mobile Banking at www.upbnk.com, our online banking platform and mobile app, for many of your banking needs.
  • MoneyPass and Allpoint ATM Networks, where our customers can withdraw funds completely surcharge free at nearly 50,000 ATMs worldwide.
  • Remote deposit capture (for businesses and consumers), telephone banking, and bank by mail service.

For your reference, we have also provided a list with addresses of all our financial centers along with this letter. Thank you for your support and understanding. We look forward to continuing our mission as Providence Bank & Trust of serving urban neighborhoods with the quality and affordable financial services they deserve.
